Prayer Ministries
We have three different prayer ministries:
- Ten minutes before service begins on Thursday night and Sunday morning, the men and women each meet privately. At this appointed time prayer is offered up before the service according to the Lord’s instructions.
- We have a ministry of prayer intercessors. The spirit has anointed these intercessors on behalf of the local body of believers. God is increasing in this realm of prayer.
- Our prayer chain consists of a dedicated group responsible for praying for the sick and for the leading of the Lord in people’s lives. Philippians 4:12 and James 5:14 instruct us to pray for one another. The prayer chain communicates by using the Internet/e-mail and by phone whenever there are prayer requests.
Daughters of Zion
Women meet every Monday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the church. This ministry is for the raising up of teachers in the Kingdom of God. It is for those seeking how to find the character of Christ and how to grow up into the full stature of the Lord. Come and be blessed as the Spirit of the Lord opens scripture to reveal God’s truth.
Wordfest
This ministry has the women meeting on the third Tuesday of every month at 7:30 p.m. They are currently meeting in a designated home. This informal time of discussing the Word has produced a love and unity from the Lord. It is a time of breaking down the Word that has been taught during the month, learning how each one is applying the Word, and seeing the results of Spiritual Fruit that are being produced. You will truly enjoy the liberty of giving and receiving spiritual help.
Champions of Faith
This single adult group meets every 4 to 6 weeks in different homes and locations. This is a time for adult singles over the age of 50 to come together in fellowship. A potluck dinner, music, and a time in the Word highlight this ministry. Picnics and outdoor events are just some of the other activities that the Champions of Faith plan and participate in. You will find a friendship spirit birthed in God’s love. Souls are being knitted and hearts encouraged through this ministry.
Prison Ministry
The prison ministry is part of the Compassion Ministry outreach of Florida Lighthouse Tabernacle. The goal of the prison ministry is two-fold. First, it is to offer inmates the forgiveness and unconditional love of Christ, leading to repentance and salvation. Secondly, it is to equip them with the living word, leading them to maturity and setting them free from the prison of the destructive cycle of sin. This ministry meets once a week at the Hernando County Jail.
Youth Group
Ages 13-19 years old
This is the primary youth ministry in the church for teenagers from ages 13-19. The main purpose is preparing the youth for young adult living. There is open interaction between youth and leaders. This sets an atmosphere for the youth to openly express their needs and successes. There is continual development in praise and worship. Above all, they are taught how to develop spiritual growth in Christ. This ministry is vital in raising up the church of today and tomorrow. They meet from 6:15-7:15 p.m. every Friday at the church.
Kingdom Seekers
