Missions

Florida Lighthouse Believes in Missions!

We believe in supporting those who have dedicated their lives to reaching lost souls wherever God may send them. One of the missions we support is in Jamaica.

Pastor Nathan Winston and his wife, Gail, have dedicated their lives to serving Christ through evangelism. They have two young sons and a daughter who are learning from their parents what the love of Christ is all about and how to get the message to others.

People Need the Lord Ministry Global Network is their ministry. This ministry reaches people with the gospel of Christ. It is also a network of outreach methods working with churches that believe in Jesus Christ and adheres to the Word of God to fulfill the mandate of Jesus Christ found in Mark 16:15-18.

This is an interdenominational ministry that allows for a wider cross-section of working with churches in proclaiming the Gospel. They minister in preaching, teaching, and training in evangelism. A great part of their outreach is showing Christian films via multimedia projection both indoors and outdoors.

Pastor Nathan is Trinidadian by birth, and Sister Gail is a native of the island of Jamaica. They came to the area through the leading of the Lord. The vision of People Need the Lord Ministry Global Network came to Pastor Nathan in the early years of his Christian life while living in Trinidad. While serving on the mission field in Germany, the Lord created a greater desire  in him to serve in evangelism as Jeremiah 29:11 was spoken into his life.  (“I know the plans that I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope.”)

Pastor Nathan and Sister Gail, together with a team, aim at carrying the ministry to greater heights and new levels for Christ. They desire God’s will, nothing more, nothing less, nothing else.

You can e-mail Pastor Nathan at Peoplentlmin30@hotmail.com to answer any of your questions, to send them a note of encouragement, or to get the latest updates on their ministry.

God bless you!!!

Preaching the Gospel and Helping the Poor … Around the World!

On street corners, in housing projects, in auditoriums, in churches … in Gospel tents, anywhere they believed that someone needed Jesus, Bobby and Sherry Burnette have preached the Gospel for many years.

In 1971, the Burnette’s made their first missionary trip to the country of Jamaica. Bobby and Sherry helped build a “soup kitchen” in Kingston to feed the hungry. Through the following years, they began ministering in Haiti, the Philippines, Mexico, Costa Rica, Honduras, Guyana, Grenada and many other countries. But, their hearts always came back to Haiti. In July of 1991, they moved to Haiti as full-time missionaries, but never forgot their love for the other countries.
